Old Town Hall Construction Updates

One detail at a time

Construction progress at Old Town Hall may not always look glamorous, but this is the work that makes transformation possible.

CitySpace’s Phase II restoration is moving steadily forward, with the new accessible entry and elevator addition taking shape from the ground up. In the basement, structural work is complete, machine room walls are up, and installation of the Otis elevator system is underway, including the hydraulic piston assembly that will eventually carry visitors between floors. At the same time, one of the building’s historic stained glass windows is being meticulously restored for reinstallation as a backlit feature in the new addition, visible from Main Street.

The construction project is being led by CitySpace board treasurer Mike Tautznik, with Keiter Builders bringing the construction to life and Kuhn Riddle Architects guiding the project’s design and restoration vision. Step by step, Old Town Hall’s next chapter is coming into view. Photos by Mike Tatuznik.
