Over the past two weeks, crews have completed concrete preparation and floor installation in the basement of the elevator building. Only one wall remains to be poured along the building’s original 156-year-old stone foundation—a careful process that blends new infrastructure with historic architecture considerations.

The perimeter and elevator shaft footings are now in place, and the new foundation walls have been poured and reinforced. Rebar installation and formwork have been ongoing, ensuring the new structure is well integrated with the existing building.

In the coming weeks, masonry work will begin, with block installation scheduled for early November. Provisions are being made to accommodate colder weather as construction transitions into the late fall season. While the schedule has shifted slightly from initial projections, the project team reports that progress remains strong and major milestones are on track.
