Rental costs go directly back towards supporting CitySpace programs and maintaining the historic Old Town Hall.

100 chairs are available in the venue. 100 capacity with chairs.  For standing events, 230 people are allowed. The capacity includes all people in the Blue Room.

CitySpace has its own productions and programs that are presented in the Blue Room. If you have a performance in mind that you think would make a good match for CitySpace but it fits outside of the rental model, learn more about alternative booking options.

As a nonprofit organization, CitySpace works to keep Old Town Hall welcoming, affordable, and well cared for. We are a small, largely volunteer-driven organization that relies on a mix of rental income, donations, and grants to support operations and preserve this historic building. Rental fees help cover essential costs like staffing, utilities, insurance, maintenance, and the long-term preservation of this historic building.

Even with this update, our rental rates remain below market and lower than many comparable venues in the region. Blue Room rental rates had not increased since the space opened five years ago, despite rising costs during that time.

In recent years, CitySpace has made meaningful upgrades to the Blue Room, including new stage lighting, improved HVAC, and acoustical enhancements that enhance comfort and usability for renters.

Rental fees are one of several ways people help sustain Old Town Hall. Whether through booking the space, volunteering, or supporting CitySpace in other ways, this shared investment helps ensure the building remains an accessible community resource for years to come.

If the cost of renting the Blue Room is a barrier, we encourage artists and organizations to explore CitySpace’s Partners in Performance or Pay It Forward programs, which offer free or reduced-cost access to the space through application-based support.
