CitySpace is a volunteer-managed DIY nonprofit arts 501(c)(3) organization that provides space at reasonable rates for your performances and community experiences in Old Town Hall. In alignment with our mission,  CitySpace prioritizes artistic public performances in the Blue Room to enliven Old Town Hall with the arts for the community. However, whatever your event may be, submit your inquiry for booking CitySpace’s Blue Room below. 

We offer a ~1600 sq. ft. 100 seat / 230 person standing performance space with A/V equipment, an accessible stage, tables, seating and further amenities for performances and events.  No event set-up assistance or tech provided as part of rental. You set-up the space and return the venue as found.

Rental Costs

Public Event (Sunday-Th): $50 an hour + security deposit*
Rehearsal or Non-public event:$25/hour Monday/Tuesday/Wednesday + security deposit*
Thursday & Sunday $30/hour + security deposit*
Day rate: $250 full day, until 11 pm (weekdays) or midnight (Fri, Sat). + security deposit* includes up to 6-hour with $35 per extra hour
Fridays and Saturdays: Are available for the day rate at $250 + security deposit. Includes up to 6-hours with $35 per extra hour
Weekly rate: $900 + security deposit*

Please add a $75 fee per rental that provide food and drinks in the venue (includes catered & non-catered food).

Security deposit of $50 is required. Following the event, the lessee is required to return the space to the same as found condition. The security deposit will be returned upon completion of use upon review by the CitySpace representative.

Tech: CitySpace does not provide tech as part of your base rental agreement. As part of your rental, a tour of the venue will include an overview tutorial on how things work in the Blue Room including lighting and sound. If the tech needs require any set-up outside of the scope of tech understanding by the lessee, additional tech services will be required.  We can arrange a tech person for your event for an additional $25 per hour, 4-hour minimum + 10% if paying by credit card.

FAQ

Doors are not open to the public for a rehearsal or non-public event  There is no need for AV equipment and essential use is for the space only. 

Rental costs go directly back towards supporting CitySpace programs and maintaining the historic Old Town Hall.

80 chairs are available in the venue. 100 capacity with chairs.  For standing events, 230 people are allowed.

In accordance with guidelines and regulations of the City of Easthampton, masks are optional while in Old Town Hall. Attendees are encouraged to be vaccinated or have a negative PCR COVID test 72 hours prior to performances or events.

In general, we encourage those feeling sick or experiencing cold or flu like symptoms to please stay home and visit us another day when they are feeling better. Lessees may require vaccination card checks. However, they must provide their own staffing to check visitor cards.
