On October 19, 2019, CitySpace celebrated Old Town Hall’s 150th anniversary with a celebratory ball at Eastworks. The dress code was time machine elegance, which meant party goers chose the time period and then dialed up the glam – past, present, or future.

With Brooklyn’s Baby Soda Jazz Band and local favorites, Ch’Chunk, the dance floor was hopping with sounds from the 1920s, 30s and 40s.

Special thanks to Myer’s Catering, La Veracruzana, and The Log Cabin for offering tasty vittles and to Abandoned Building Brewery, New City Brewery, and Big E’s Supermarket for the craft beverages. Laudable Productions brought the magic. And Julian Parker Burns and Tracey Eller captured it. So many others too were a part of this evening including The Easthampton Historical Society, Wonderland, Luthier’s-Co-op, and many more.

NAME A SEAT IN OLD TOWN HALL

CitySpace is planning for an accessible performance space in Old Town Hall's 2nd floor. For a donation of $500, you can purchase a chair that will include a plaque with a name in tribute on the back. Commemorate an artist, an anniversary, a birthday, an idea…  and help us bring Old Town Hall back to life!
Take A Seat

For 150 years, Easthampton’s Old Town Hall has been an integral part of the history, civic life, culture, and entertainment of Easthampton. Since 2005, CitySpace has worked to restore, manage, and preserve Old Town Hall as a center for the arts in Easthampton and as a place for convening for the Pioneer Valley. 2019 marks the inauguration of its campaign to bring it’s second-floor upper hall back to life where dances, town meetings, theater performances, and community events were held. We can’t wait to do it on the second floor of Old Town Hall next time!
