About Khalif Neville
Khalif Neville was born into one of New Orleans’ greatest musical families. His father Charles Neville, of The Neville Brothers, provided him with a world class musical education from a young age, which to this day grounds all of Khalif’s music in a deep sense of history and tradition. As a child, Khalif had the opportunity to tour with his dad and other family members around the world. This gave him a perspective not many young artists are afforded on their journey, of both the glamour of the music business, as well as its many vices.
As Khalif grew older, his musicianship evolved in an unexpected way. In contrast to the musical sensibilities of his dad and other family members, he developed a taste for Hip-Hop production and began his journey towards mastering the mechanics of the modern sound. This personal drive, combined with his deep roots and knowledge of much of Black American music history, defines Khalif’s unmatched musical character and originality.
